第二節 實現夢想的旅程
一、阿尼的故事
印尼是我的家鄉，我在家排行老大，生活並不富有，可是我很努力求學，
也很懂得規劃未來的生涯發展。來臺灣讀書是我努力很久的目標，當我終於踏上 這片土地時，我感覺到臺灣一切都很好，我相信這會是一趟很珍貴的旅程。
（一）來臺前的相關因素
1. 選擇來臺讀書之原因
說到我來臺讀書的原因，最主要是因為我想學中文，又剛好我們學校跟臺 灣的大學有簽姐妹校，再加上有許多學長姐來臺灣讀書，所以我從高一就決定一 定要申請到來臺灣的獎學金，我努力了三年，終於實現了我的夢想，我覺得這是 一個學習很好的機會。
「Why? Because ○○（校名）是姐妹校 and then we have some seniors 學長 from my school. I see her or him it’s like wow …really got the scholarship 唸 大學在臺灣是比較真的很好的機會。I first knew about this 機會 this chance when I 高一 And then I just think maybe I’ll take it.」（C1-001）
「Yap! Three years. I have known about this program. And then I just become interested about this. And then I just study hard until my 高三 my school, my principal, my teacher like choosing some students and from my school there are two students accepted to come here. I think my reason is because first 中 文是很重要的語言. I just want to learn more and then I believe in the future Chinese would be very important in …My purpose is business man. So maybe using Chinese in business is very important.」（C1-002）

2. 來臺前的經驗與準備
來臺灣並不是我第一次出國，我曾經去過新加坡和泰國，再加上我高中修 的課程，必須了解各地的觀光產業，所以我對臺灣並沒有深入的了解，還好有幾 次機會跟臺灣學生聊到臺灣，才進一步的認識，來臺前我認為，臺灣和印尼應該 沒有什麼不一樣，應該就語言上的不同吧！當我真正來到臺灣讀書之後，臺灣的 生活跟我所預期的，並沒有很大的差別。
「Yap! For me, actually I’m from a tourism high school.」（C1-023）

「喔…Before I came here, three months before I came here, there is a 文藻 student came to my school. So I can ask that how’s in Taiwan.」（C1-061）
「…… I have no image at all about Taiwan people but because I learn tourism 旅遊。So I just, I must know about tourism in Taiwan, tourism in another country. So I just know the general. After I came here, I think it not so different from Indonesia. Just like the different languages.」（C1-064）

（二）來臺前後的學習經驗
1. 來臺前後學習語言的經驗
在印尼，有的學校重視中文，有的還好，我讀的學校都有中文課，每週只 有短短兩小時，所以大概懂得基本的注音符號和簡體字，只不過臺灣是繁體字，
我剛到臺灣的時間需要時間去適應，還好現在學校都有中文課，聽、說、讀、寫 都會教。除了學中文，我在印尼也學英文，所以在臺灣也會用英文和他人溝通。
「Om…從小學，小學一年級，從 basic ㄅㄆㄇㄈ。But in my country there is only like 每個禮拜只有兩小時中文課。」（C1-007）
「所以（每週上兩小時中文）比較沒有用吧！下課以後就忘了」（C1-008）
「因為…好像印尼的政府認為中文是愈來愈重要，所以…不一樣的學校，
不同的學校不同的規定（學中文的規定）」（C1-009）
「從小（學英文）。」（C1-012）
「Yap! 簡體的，所以不一樣。」（C1-015）
「會（*笑），可是要習慣（看繁體），一定要習慣。」（C1-016）
「嗯！有有（學校有上中文課）。」（C1-018）
「很多，說、寫、讀、聽都有。」（C1-019）

2. 來臺後之學習狀況
來臺灣之後，我除了上中文課，還要上主修系所的課程，我另外也選修一 些我有興趣的課，所以每天都很忙碌，但也很充實。我的獎學金並不保證我能在 臺灣讀完四年大學，還是要看每學期的成績，所以平時都十分認真上課，因為我 是還沒遇過成績不好的時候，所以我也不清楚成績不好會怎樣。我在學校也有參 加社團，不過當社團成果展和期中、期末考的時候，我就會覺得很有壓力，要想 辦法將每件事好好完成。
「如果是 B 以下，我不知道會怎樣。目前我們都沒有遇過。」（C1-040）
「no, no, no，所以我們不會隨便，我們還是很認真上課」（C1-041）
「 Mine? □ □系 Because ○ ○ is language college there are only like language department. But I focus on business. Even I study this but I still can learn business. So I’m taking the major.」（C1-003）
「So maybe about 30 hours per week. （上課）辛苦一點。」（C1-022）
「喔~每學期（獎學金依成績是否通過來核發）」（C1-039）
「…… Every year we have big performance here and then it’s called 成果發
展、成果發表. And then the first is from our 社團. The other important thing is like every test 期末、期中考. I think it’s very important for us because we are here as a student 是學生，所以一定要有很好的 score，很好的分數。
其他呢，另外一個是，好像如果我們參加一個活動，我們要（強調語氣）
focus on the activity, just not like 隨便做。」（C1-076）
「oh…Yap!我這樣子有點壓力，一定要 through pass the problem」（C1-077）
（三）來臺適應歷程
1. 在臺之整體適應情形
來到臺灣讀書到現在將近一年，應該是沒有不能適應的吧！就是一個新的 環境，一個比我在印尼生活還要好的地方，真的要講不能適應的部分，一開始是 語言，另外就是天氣，印尼是沒有冬天的；還有，我印象中在臺灣過年期間，那 時候是寒假，我沒有回印尼，但是很多同學都回家了，我也沒有什麼朋友，就只 能自己一個人孤單的過年，在臺灣熱鬧的過年氣氛裡，更顯得自己的孤獨。
「嗯…好像…沒有（最不能適應的）吧」（C1-068）
「Yap! Yap!（*笑）because besides the new environment, a new world, new life here, it’s like better, better than my previous life in Indonesia. But the problem is like the different language, the language is different. But there I think after we can like they can speak Chinese very well, I think it’s no problem.」

「吃的習慣是還 ok，可是 the weather in Indonesia is no winter. Hot all the day.
So when like 聖誕節、新年啦，可以是 18 度、16 度是比較冷一點。」（C1-100）
「About the Chinese New Year, I remember I felt lonely because that time I still don't have many friends so I just can celebrate that day alone in my room, far from my family.」（C1-105）
2. 來臺前後之經濟狀態
我家在印尼的經濟水平是在中間，我是因為這樣的條件再加上成績而能夠 申請到臺灣讀書，來臺之後，獎學金包括學費、住宿，還有校內用餐的餐券，我 自己還有在學校打工，目前可以算是足夠，但有的時候要買書、買東西，若打工 的錢再多一點才會比較充裕，否則還是需要家人提供一些生活費。
「ㄜ…好像差不多吧，（家庭經濟水平）在中間，因為○○的，○○的條件
是要中間到中下的學生才可以（申請獎學金），所以○○才要幫助。」

「沒有辦法（只靠打工支付生活費），我們爸爸媽媽需要花一點點錢」

「其實…（打工的錢）不夠吧」（C1-037）
「Like… if we have one hour 103（NTD）and every day we just have 8 hours. So in one month, we just have 2 thousand, 2300，差不多兩千三百，兩千四。
Maybe we just if we have 4 thousand,四千才夠。So we just have the salary 2300，所以 our parents should offer me a little bit.」（C1-038）
3. 人際溝通方式
剛到臺灣的時候，沒有認識什麼朋友，但因為同學大部分都會說英文，所 以我一開始會跟他們用英文溝通，但我沒有因為這樣就很主動跟同學交談，就是 因為不熟，我想臺灣同學很害羞，我也很害羞啦！不過臺灣人都很友善喔，如果 已經認識的就不會不敢交談了。我現在已經可以用中文跟別人講話了，使用英文 的時候就變少了。

「…… Because Taiwanese is very friendly. They just shy 害羞。They just…the problem is shy. 如果我們已經認識的話就不會。」（C1-058）
4. 在臺之支持系統
其實我在臺灣的生活還算順利，但剛來的時候總是會想家，不過現在網路 很方便耶，我可以用 skype 跟家人聯絡，真不知道以前沒有網路會怎樣。平時我 都十分投入各個學習活動，但事情一多的時候就會有壓力，我就只能告訴自己要 面對問題去解決，雖然學校有諮商中心，不過我不會想到要去那裡耶，我會先找 我的學長姐，他們幫忙我很多。

5. 來臺後的感受與收穫
我覺得來到臺灣之後的感覺很棒，一切對我來說都是新的生活，是不同於 印尼的生活，雖然來臺灣還不到一年，但是我覺得在這個環境下，我變得比較努 力，想要成為更好的人，而不是只來臺灣玩一玩。我真的覺得這是一個很珍貴的 機會，是用錢也買不到的經驗，我一定會推薦學弟妹來臺灣讀書！

好像不能錯過我們的課啊，主要的…好像 it change ourselves to be a better person.」（C1-094）

「We have this experience to study in Taiwan. It’s like there is no money that can afford this experience. So how we like learn 中文啦，how we study in the new environment. I think it can become very different if we study in the other country.」（C1-107）
（四）以外籍生的角度看不同的文化
1. 臺灣與印尼之異同
臺灣跟印尼都在亞洲區，除了語言、幣值、文化上有些差別，其他沒有太 大的差異，這對我們印尼外籍生在臺適應是有幫助的。我甚至覺得臺灣比較好，
就拿交通來說，印尼比較亂，人又多。

「（臺灣比印尼好的部分）like…交通啦，如果跟印尼比起來，差很多，在 印尼是很多人住」（C1-070）
2. 不同國籍學生之比較
就我自己的觀察，我們印尼學生因為申請來臺讀四年大學的獎學金，在學 校都很努力，但是其他國家來臺當短期交換學生就比較沒有壓力；而臺灣學生的 特質每個人不一樣，有的總是坐在教室前排，上課很認真，有的在睡覺，我想這 是學校一般的狀況，不過大致上寫作業是比較認真的。
「很努力，他們（印尼學生）都很努力，很辛苦」（C1-080）
「不是全部的 international students，可是因為我們是第一次，我們得到獎 學金，然後我們四年就在這裡，所以比較，壓力比較大，如果跟外國人比 起來，因為 the other students like 外國人是 exchange for one year or one semester 而已」（C1-081）
