The Effects of Personal Attributes, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on Turnover Intention - A Case Study

ABSTRACT

The situation of employees leaves job is critical, studied in the past demonstrated that the work satisfied and the organization commitment had reveals effect to the turnover intention. Employees’ satisfaction and the organization commitment felt high, relative have low turnover intention. The insurance industry staff leaves job not only causes the company to lose the training staff, but also loses the training cost, and clients. This research joins the personality characteristic factor in addition, and analyzes staff's personality characteristic to confront turnover intention to affect whether exists reveals the difference. In recent years, the life insurance companies in Taiwan had much more focus on their agents’ professional education and training. As an investment, those companies spent lots of money and resource on this issue. However, there are still many new agents left the insurance enterprise after all training programs. It’s a kind of waste for the company investment. Therefore, this research wants to find out the characteristic which made the insurance agents turnover intention. And it can be a reference to insurance companies which expected to save cost and find the correct way to encourage their sales agents. According to the results of data analysis of this research, we advance the following conclusions: 1.Different personal property to personal attributes, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention has revealed the difference. Sex and administrative duty has revealed the difference in remain commitment. 2.Salespersons personal attributes, job satisfaction and organizational commitment has revealed the correlation to turnover intention. The remain commitment aspect is positive correlative, others is negative correlative. 3.Salesperson personal attributes, job satisfaction and organizational commitment has significantly forecast ability to turnover intention, the remain commitment aspect is positive

significantly forecast ability, others is negative significantly forecast ability. 4.The most primary factor for the salesperson’s turnover intention are approval commitment, remain commitment and personal attributes.
