在量化資料分析的部分,本研究採用了多元尺度法,以及 Bradley-Terry 模 型分析,但由於學生其對於五項函數極限定義由抽象與具體程度的判準方式,有 可能會隨著成對比較題目答題題數的增加而改變,若要區別在答題過程中,曾經 改變判準方式的集群,並瞭解其對定義抽象程度判斷的變化情形,可能會需要設 計更為適合此類資料分析的數學模型與集群分析軟體。
在研究主題—函數極限的部分,建議可以對函數極限的概念進行延伸,針對 函數極限、連續性、以及可微性,在形式化定義之間的條件對應關係,與其相關 的概念進行抽象程度差異的探討。
在研究主題—反思抽象的部分,對於傾向利用圖形表徵或符號(邏輯條件)表 徵進行反思抽象的不同學生類群,建議可以探討在其學習過程中,形成個人抽象 思考偏好的可能機制,並瞭解學生是如何透過課程訓練進而有效學習以符號(邏 輯條件)表徵進行反思抽象的。
在基礎微積分課程—函數極限定義現場教學的部分,建議老師在進行函數極 限形式化定義教學的時候,可以先參考本研究第五章第三節之五項定義形成學生 抽象感的可能原因,以瞭解學生對於函數極限形式化定義之中的符號、詞彙與語 法可能會產生迷思或誤解的地方;並且,在完成函數極限形式化定義教學之後,
亦可以請學生填寫本研究所發展出的函數極限定義抽象感的調查問卷,利用問卷 結果來估計對抽象判斷的表現不同類群(例如:認為符號越多越抽象,或認為定 義越不嚴謹越抽象)的學生人數分布情形。

在基礎微積分課程—函數極限定義學生學習的部分,可以利用 Spivak (1967) 的五項函數極限定義,讓學生以作業練習或學習單的方式,對五項函數極限定義 由較為口語化的敘述到最終形式化定義的敘述,逐一進行差異性的比較,以幫助 學生釐清函數極限形式化定義之中所出現的符號、詞彙與語法敘述的重要性及其 深入意涵,以及函數極限形式化定義在數學上難以為口語化定義取代的理由。
