除了中國這個變數之外，美國主導的 TPP 對於東協在推動東亞區域經濟整 合而言，究竟是危機或轉機目前尚未明朗。比較 TPP 與以東協為首的 RCEP 兩 者的特點後可發現，目前 TPP 的成員國中並沒有中國，而東協主導之 RCEP 卻 有中國有力支持，而中國廣大的消費人口與市場無疑是各國爭相與其合作的最 重要誘因，再者，即便兩者會員國重疊性相當高，現階段也看不出兩者有任何 整合的可能性，尚且，縱使 RCEP 目前是由東協所主導，感受較鮮明的卻是中 國與美國之爭。或許東協利用中國的經濟實力來整合其+1、＋3 及+6，構築一 以東協為核心的自由貿易協定網絡，正是東協的策略，但 RCEP 的主導權會不 會因此從東協手中轉移至中國就難以預料了。因為隨著中國經濟實力的提升，
誰也無法預料中國會採取何種方式，來成立一統合東亞地區的經濟組織。
TPP 與 RCEP 雖然存著不同路線之爭，但是對於東協而言，卻不盡然是個 兩個彼此相斥的選擇方式，若東協可以利用這樣的機會在擴展自由貿易網絡的 同時來牽制中國(東協當中有四個主要成員國同時跨足了 TPP 與 RCEP)，以遊走 於 TPP 和 RCEP 之間來極大化自身的利益，這便是其危機之中的轉機。
第二節 未來展望
誠如本文第一章所提出的幾項研究限制，首先，本文雖以自由貿易協定為 研究途徑，探討東協在推動東亞地區經濟整合，針對其所面臨的挑戰、影響的 其推動經濟整合的變數僅列出中國和美國之因素來研究，但挑戰並不只有本文 所提這兩個國家，影響的變數也不僅僅只有受美國推動 TPP 的影響和中國崛起 與東協的區域競逐，尚受到東亞區域內其他國家的立場與態度……等影響變數 左右，東亞地區的經濟發展在近年來備受矚目，因而「東亞經濟整合」此一議 題也越來越白熱化，目前東亞尚處於經濟整合的最初始階段，未來面對的想必 也是更複雜、更未知的局面，故筆者期許自己在往後也都能如現在一樣多留意 整體東亞經濟的走勢與蛻變，再去觀察其他影響的變數；其次，對於東南亞地

區，本文僅以「東協」作為研究主體，並無逐一探討東協內個別成員國與區域 相關國家洽簽自由貿易協定之情形，雖然將此列在研究限制中，但筆者認為東 協一體化的進程不斷的在推進，從其官網上的相關資訊顯示，東協未來只會朝 共同體的方向邁進而不會走回頭路，在這樣的情況下，以東協作為東南亞國家 的代表遠比單一個東南亞國家自身更具有經濟影響力及競爭力，東協的各項發 展在近年來不斷的進步，往往其他國家在想到亞洲，其直覺多是想到中國或日 本，但筆者認為東協在未來將會在亞洲、甚至是世界上佔有一席比現在更為重 要之地。
