第四節 研究限制與建議

一、 研究限制

本篇論文屬於質性研究,意在探索特定的現象,並研究該現象底下的人們所反 應出之想法與價值。論文內容當中所出現之報告數據,並非此次研究關注之主要重 點,僅作為輔助筆者描繪現象,並進一步做出詮釋之用,無法就該數據量化處理,

預測未來相關的趨勢發展,或藉此解釋現象的前因後果。

本研究乃採取個案研究法之單一個案研究,旨在探討個案之特殊性,單一個案 研究由於樣本集中於特定對象,具有不具通則之特性,因此無法代表整體,將本次 的研究結果做泛化推論。

本次研究為個案分析,意在探討將流行音樂置於無形文化遺產的框架之下,觀 光對於利物浦居民認同及城市品牌意象的形塑,然而討論層面可能無法全面顧及 而有所忽略,由於本篇論文的研究對象主要集中在當地民眾與外來遊客,其他相關 的利害關係人如旅行業者、信託部門、在地表演者、研究學者、商家、學校等則無 法有更深入的涉略。再者,基於時間及成本的考量,筆者無法於研究所在城市進行 長時間的觀察,僅能就停留時間蒐集一手資料如:現場觀察記錄、照片拍攝及與研 究對象進行訪談等,然而訪談的內容會因為受訪者的態度,以及當時的外在因素而 有所限制,因此仍須倚仗網站資料、新聞報導、社群網站、相關文獻與官方報告等 二手資料,作為論文內容的補強,依循三角交叉法,透過不同的研究方法與多重的 證據來源,力求本研究不失信度與效度,盼能在有限的資源裡,為學術貢獻盡一份 心力。

98 二、建議與未來研究方向

本論文透過文獻蒐集與訪談等田野調查來檢視披頭四觀光作為無形文化遺產 再現之影響,而資料蒐集主要以2015 年當地居民與遊客之觀感為基礎。近年來利 物浦當局對披頭四觀光的認同付諸實際行動,如在2016 年成立了相關的遺產管理 組織,以求在產業裡達到資源整合、共享與相互協調之效果,同時期望在行銷利物 浦上能更有一致性,然而由於組織成立的時間尚短,在本篇論文完成之前,尚未見 有具體的相關報告發佈,可供筆者進行進一步的分析。建議未來的研究者可以拉長 時間軸,持續觀察組織的施行方向、實際作為及成效的展現。

本次研究以需求角度出發,訪談對象主要針對於在地居民的感受,未來可以從 供給層面著手,將研究範圍涉入更多利害關係人,如當地的觀光供給者、文化表演 者或是周邊的商家等,以求研究訪談內容更加深入且全面。另外,研究者也可以從 數據的角度出發,採用量化研究途徑蒐集大量的需求面意見,繪製成更為細緻的成 果,以增加研究結果的客觀性。
