一、實務界的建言
從消息來源的角度來觀察，台灣的新聞界對於外電新聞的編譯約有 80%來自於外 電報導，而外電報導中有絕大多數的消息來源皆為西方的主流媒體，諸如：CNN、紐 約時報、法新社、美聯社等西方知名國際媒體單位的訊息。但是台灣在對於中東的新 聞事務上幾乎顯少引述當地媒體的言論，甚至發現台灣一些關於中東事務的報導畫面 與內容係引述自 CNN 的新聞報導，用 CNN 的眼鏡來建構中東與全世界。
當然這可能與語言的隔閡有關，再加上台灣媒體新聞編政體制內對於國際新聞的 報導單位，不比其他政治新聞中心、地方社會新聞中心來得重視，因此外電翻譯是媒 體能以最快的速度，並同時可節省時間與成本來得到最新國外訊息的最佳方式。
但是，即使是外電翻譯，還是可以試圖將消息來源的單位擴大至中東新聞媒體。
例如半島電視台已經於 2006 年推出英語新聞頻道，可是卻鮮少得到台灣的關注。當然 在此並非單方面宣揚半島電視台，而是期望台灣在對於外電新聞的報導的取材角度是 可以再更彈性化的增加言論立場的多元性空間，讓更多不同媒體的觀點，諸如中東媒 體可以進入台灣媒體的國際事務論述之中，單只讓 CNN 或者是西方媒體來建構閱聽 人對國際事務以及中東事務的常識，其實是一種知識上的偏誤與危機，也無法訓練閱 聽人從多元、多國族立場的角度去思考中東及國際事務。
二、研究限制與研究建議
研究中東媒體，礙於研究者本身的語言限制，無法針對阿拉伯語的半島電視新聞 直接進行分析，僅能對其英語新聞頻道的新聞稿進行分析，形成語言上的研究限制。
建議後續的研究者，如果具有特殊語言學習背景的研究人員，是可以多盡量嘗試直接 分析原文新聞內容。或許單方面分析英文新聞稿的內容，可能也代表同時掉入了知識 與西方霸權的陷阱之中，也是本研究之研究限制之一。因為本研究觀察到半島電視台 仍需要藉由西方的主流政治的支持下，方可引起閱聽人對巴勒斯坦人的重視與認同。
或許這樣的分析結果在阿拉伯語的頻道內會有不一樣的結果，也是後續研究值得觀察 的部份。
也同時建議後續研究者可研究電視的影像畫面與記者口白進行論述分析，或許有 新的研究角度產生。本研究先以初探形式研究電視台網路新聞文字稿，待後續的研究 可以深入影像文本當中進行分析，期望有更多研究結果與研究心得出現。不過，建議 研究者仍須注意樣本搜尋時間的時效性，因為不同媒體的網站在搜尋引擎的經營上不 盡相同，有些媒體很重視（例如半島），但部份媒體視若敝屣，也容易增加研究者在搜 尋新聞的困難度，籲請後續研究者注意搜尋的時效性。
最後關於研究方法的問題，通常進行論述研究都會在第一階段進行量化資料的統 計。一般在類目建構的部分普遍會照量化學者的要求，認為需要有文獻的支持，方能 引入研究編碼系統。然而，不同的新聞事件，所代表的是不同的事件文化系統，不同 的文化系統之間勢必會有價值上與詮釋上的差異，單用一組過去所研究過事件的編碼 內容進行編碼，容易有效度上的問題，不一定能完全回答到研究者的問題。因此研究 者建議，可以參考本研究的模式從大規模新聞樣本中進行類目的歸納，雖然類目的建 置時間較長，但是更能夠符合質化研究展現事件獨特性的精神於研究之中。雖然在信 度價值上有所消長，但卻能增益研究上的內、外在效度與回答問題的精準性，建議研 究者在研究方法上面可再進行一些斟酌與調整。
