The Effects of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior for the Beauty and

ABSTRACT

With the trend of more frequent cross-strait communication, Taiwan's franchise stores of hair and beauty saloon base their business in Taiwan and expand their territory to Mainland China. Since there are differences in national conditions between Taiwan and Mainland China, it is necessary to further understand the relationship of employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment with organizational citizenship behavior for decision-making of cross-strait franchise stores of hair and beauty saloon. This study gave out 450 copies of questionnaire to employees of cross-strait franchise stores of hair and beauty saloon to fill out by employing convenience sam-pling. The questionnaire inquired employees about their opinions on the effect of job satisfaction and

organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior. A total of 400 copies were returned with 53 deductible copies and 347 valid copies, a re-ply rate of 77%. The study found that there is a positive correlation of job satisfaction of employ-ees of cross-strait franchise stores of hair and beauty saloon and organizational com-mitment with organizational citizenship behavior.

There exists an effect of job satisfac-tion on organizational citizenship behavior through the mediation effect of organiza-tional commitment. Key Words: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational citizen-ship
