第二節 研究限制與未來發展方向

戀者懸置的問題找到解答。誠如畢恆達(2000)所指出,男性氣質有很大一 部份是情境的,同一個人在私密和公共場合的表現可能有很大的不同,只要 改變情境,就可能改變男性的行為,按照這個理路,生活於現實的明顯壓制 之中,在氣氛和善、無所謂「輸」「贏」的和諧氣氛裡,可謂讓失戀男性得 豁免於「失敗者」的標籤,而能在茫茫字海裡練習坦誠、面對自我,這趟持 續遊歷的過程,亦讓男性得以重新思索自己的揹負與優勢,藉著一次又一次 的瀏覽與回饋,返照過往的缺憾,卻也映照出更寬廣的未來。
第二節 研究限制與未來發展方向
本研究利用參與觀察結合深度訪談,探究失戀男性的網路參與經驗,
如何使其自失戀創傷中復原,透過他們於感情類看板的角色,進一步描繪此 類虛擬社群的運作方式與特色,勾勒男性經驗之外,亦補充當前對虛擬社群 與其線上社會支持力量的理解。然本研究囿於時間與人力,思考與執行未臻 完善,茲將研究限制羅列於下,並建議未來發展方向,供後續研究者參考。
一、 研究對象
本研究在挑選受訪者時,利用看板發文、人情網絡等管道提出邀約,共 計 8 位失戀男性參與研究,為分佈於 19 至 32 歲的學生或上班族,其中包含 潛水者與發文者等身份,期能大致勾勒男性參與者之圖像。
然不足處在於未能探究「不再看板」的參與者,其經驗為何,亦無法深 入探究年齡/身份的不同擁有的殊異經驗,尤其具備數年經驗的參與者,其 身份可能由學生轉為在職者,其參與角色、個人感情觀、乃至看板對於個體 的影響,可能歷經相當程度的轉變,本研究一概而論的方式或嫌粗略,難確 實呈現箇中「轉化」關鍵、及不同年齡層/身份的差異處,若能針對某一年 齡層/身份類別,或將從前極為投入、但因個人因素不再參與看板的男性作 為研究對象,將使此議題的內涵更加豐富。

二、 觀察田野
本研究有意利用參與觀察一途,以看板的訊息內容,確實瞭解其線上社 會支持力量的運作方式,勾勒 CATCH 板──感情類虛擬社群的特殊樣態,
填補相關研究不足。然本研究唯在看板幾個類目挑選文本,未將所有文章類 別納入分析範圍,在描繪社群圖像時未稱全面,後續研究若有意針對感情類 虛擬社群進行研究,可考慮分析全部類目,厚描看板成員在不同取向的文章 的互動方式;或利用多重方法──量化途徑(問卷或內容分析)蒐集資料,
結合參與觀察或文本分析,將成果一併呈現,以期繪出更立體的看板風貌。
三、 未來發展方向
除研究對象的揀擇標準,及觀察田野的分析方式有待進一步探勘,研究 過程亦意外發現一些極富趣味的議題,可供後續研究參考。
首先,本研究探勘失戀男性的網路參與經驗,以 PTT 的 CATCH 板為觀 察對象,並未詳加考量其他性傾向(同性戀、雙性戀等)成員經驗,而異性 戀的失戀女性則因主題限制,本不在觀察範圍之內,後續研究或可著力於 此,帶領讀者理解不同性傾向的參與者如何運用看板?是否使用如 CATCH 板的一般感情類看板,或選擇在專屬他/她們的看板遊走?其參與經驗如 何?異性戀女性參與 CATCH 板的動機與影響為何?甚可深入描繪其他感情 類看板(如男女板),成果和本研究作一參照。
其次,經由訪談成果,本研究發現受訪者提及對人肉搜索的恐懼,是他 們不敢在看板現身的重要原因,隨科技發展,人肉搜索成為近年研究熱門議 題,因為感情議題具備私密性,成為人肉搜索更可能的「攻擊」目標,建議 後續研究可針對感情類看板發生的人肉搜索事件進行研究,瞭解參與者對此 事件的感受,討論事件對看板的影響。
另,訪談也發現 CATCH 板的重要特色,是有相當多專家型人物出沒其

中,這些老手發文/回文總能獲得成員的關注與讚賞,成為失戀者的取經對 象,不但在看板頗受好評,甚而晉身為書市的一方之霸,這種另類的專家政 治現象,亦可深入理解;或探訪老手的個人經驗,瞭解其生命歷程,何能使 他/她們投身於「感情事業」的經營,以補相關研究之不足。
